NAID Organizes “Role of AT for People with Physical Disabilities” Webinar

The National Academy of Information Technology for Persons with Disabilities (NAID) is organizing a webinar titled “The role of Assistive Technologies (AT) for People with Physical Disabilities” on May 23.

The webinar is one in a series of activities organized within the awareness program on AT that NAID launched to support and empower PwDs, under the theme “Ideas by exceptional abilities.”

A group of experts and distinguished speakers are participating in the webinar. It targets people with physical disabilities, caregivers, developers, entrepreneurs and those who have ideas in the field of assistive technologies for people with physical disabilities, in addition to interested individuals and stakeholders.

The webinar aims to raise awareness about physical disabilities and their impact on life activities, and highlight the role of assistive technology in helping people with physical disabilities to overcome some of the challenges they face. The webinar will also point out the efforts exerted in this field, and the ideas and methods that innovators and researchers develop to support physically disabled people. Models of relevant assistive technologies will be presented during the webinar as well.

Established in 2018, NAID is an affiliated organization to the Ministry of Communications and Information Technology (MCIT). NAID mandate is to empower PwDs and support their inclusion in the society.
