NAID Organizes ‘Role of AT in Empowering People with Hearing Disabilities' Webinar

The National Academy of Information Technology for Persons with Disabilities (NAID) is organizing a webinar on “the role of assistive technologies (AT) in empowering people with hearing disabilities,” on April 21.

The webinar is one in a series of activities organized within the awareness program on AT that NAID has launched to support and empower PwDs, under the theme “Ideas by exceptional abilities.”

A group of experts and distinguished speakers are participating in the webinar. It targets people with hearing impairment, caregivers, special education teachers and researchers in AT uses.

The webinar is organized in parallel with the Arab Deaf Week, with the aim to raise awareness on hearing impairments and of the role of AT in empowering people with hearing impairment, in terms of rehabilitation, education and social inclusion.

Established in 2018, NAID is an affiliated organization to the Ministry of Communications and Information Technology (MCIT). NAID mandate is to empower PwDs and support their inclusion in the society.
